I agree, but alas...people think by watching youtube highlights of a kids Jr year in high school that we have a better assessment of how talented they are and what they should be allowed to do in our offense.

I wonder exactly what we are supposed to do? Did we not beat the dust off of 12 teams this year? 12 friggin teams? And over half of the people we beat were ranked? Can 1 loss really erase 3 awards for coach of the year?

I feel like I am trying to put duct tape on a severed arm right now.

Newsflash: Russell Shepard is a good kid. However, he dropped passes, and he didn't run good routes. I give you that maybe a better WR coach MIGHT have been able to correct this...but we aren't losing Randy Moss in his prime here people. The WR's coming up would have taken his spot...that's why he's thinking about bouncing.

I hope he does stay, but he has a better shot at making it now, than next year after pine riding. ODBjr is a better version of RS.

They DID take his spot, which is why he fell to #3 on that depth chart behind Randle and Beckham Jr.

Hell let him go. Winer not a winner. He is leaving the team when we could use him next year. This shows a GOOD example of how much dedication Lee had to this team.
Shep you should stay for your senior year and help the Tigers win another SEC title and get back to the NCG. If not good riddens !

Lee is the perfect example of a player that stuck by his team and completely phucked over for it. Why would he want to follow that path?

Its called sticking with the team for the good and bad times. Its about a team effort not INDIVIDUALS ! Like Lee and thats why he gets so much respect. TEAM PLAYER ! NOT INDIVIDUAL !

We'll see how much respect he gets. We'll see how many draft offers he gets. Not likely any, because nobody wants to draft a person they've barely seen play.

Lee got screwed in so many ways. I think he might could have made the draft as a backup if given the opportunity to keep playing this year. CLM may have screwed him out of that chance. More than that .. Lee was screwed out of the chance to grow as a QB .. to defeat his demons. Lee should have become the starter last year, and allowed to play. But nope .... Boy Wonder got all the press.

Hopefully, the Casino-bowl All Star game will give him a chance. I wonder if that game is going to be aired on ESPN?? I'd fricken love it if shuts all you neysayers up ... throws for 500 yrds and 10 TDS in one game.

As I see it .. Sheppard sees the writing on the wall. He'll never have a chance to show what he can do at LSU. Leblanc makes a good point .. he needs to learn to catch the ball. But you can only learn to catch the ball if they throw you the ball. That's why I say he needs to go to some pass happy team and develop.

Shep have been used in the wildcat as a QB. Miles was a dumbass to think JJ could run an option.

    C'mon.

We know Lee stuck by the team. That's a fact.

What we don't know is the reason he was not used. There's probably more to it than Lee or CLM will ever reveal.

IIRC, CLM had about 5 million reasons to want to win that game. He's not stupid. If he thought a different QB was the answer I believe he would have used someone else.

Or maybe $5 Million just seems like a lot to me and CLM doesn't really care about that.

Well... when u already e making millions, I can see where the money is not as important.

Still don't know why he didn't make changes in an attempt to win!

Heck, another $5mill would have thrown him into the next tax bracket.... or maybe he was hoping he could write off the CF of Monday night.
