Shep needs to learn to catch a football with his hands before anything else. Dude has hands of stone. If he hasn't gotten it down by now, I doubt he ever will. You either have it or you don't. He also needs to run crisper routes and try to get some separation from DB's. He'd better get his degree.

All the awards for individual achievements argue against that statement.

Perhaps the players have squandered their opportunities or were not as talented as it was thought.

Winning 13 games shows the talent is being used well. Losing #14 shows we didn't yet have ALL the right parts.

I wonder if he's regretting the decision of not playing QB at college and feels he never got a real shot.

He probably could have been a decent star if he played QB somewhere else that runs a spread-option type offense. But then, he wouldn't have any chance to make it in the NFL as a QB and would just have to switch at that point. But then, everyone would know who you are so maybe you get drafted higher... He reminds me of Pat White at WVU who doesn't really have a position in the NFL now but at least he got drafted (in the 2nd round!)

Just to clarify, I don't think that comment was directed at him, but one that Shep saw as being relevant to his decision making process.

TT did not tweet that directly to Russell. He tweeted it independent of talking to Shep, Shep just liked it and re-tweeted it. Later, presumably some began to associate his comment with Shep's other comments, TT expressed surprise that Shepard was even thinking about coming out. According to TT, he had no idea.

One of the biggest pieces of crap ever posted in these Tigerfan forums. How the hell can you in good conscience blast one person for the actions of someone else? Guild by association? Collective punishment? You dont believe in judging a person on their own actions?

If he's good enough to play at LSU and wants to play at LSU, then only an I.D.I.O.T. would not consider him.

Did Saban hold the hands of the studs leaving his program early? Heck no...he's out giving the girlfriends of possible recruits scholarships to track, volleyball, and frisbee toss.
