Do we sign him? reports are SD will release him as soon as he is healthy. I know there was alot of talk this offseason about trading for him. Is he worth a shot?

IMO if he is healthy then he could only help our def. So, if the price is right then yes we go after him.

Pass... I don't think the talent or the personality (off the field issues) is there to help the Saints.

while the off the field issues are questionable (same could of been said about shockey) the talent is there and he is only 26. He could be to the olb position for us that jason Taylor is for the jets.

True, but pair him with a strong leader like Jonathan Vilma and good things could happen. I'm not saying sign him to a max deal or anything. Give it a shot and if it doesn't work, release him.

let me rephrase this so everyone understands the true context of this issue:

how many sacks has he had since being busted for steroids?

I understand where everyone is coming from. But, a 1yr deal to see if he wants to prove he still has it, on a def with proven leaders. Its either get your act together or find a job outside the NFL. But, either way it is what it is and I trust Loomis and Payton. But if you believe ESPN, Adam Schefter, and Mark Clayton we are one of the top teams to get him. lol

    Exactly.

I usually give people/athletes the benefit of the doubt. I don't think I'd be willing to make this guy a project.

    I'll pass on Shawne Merriman.

She deserved it in both instances.
