Just waiting for the Suns to accept the offer and both Shaq and Marion want the trade to go through.

Sources are saying it is going to happen.

Steve Kerr has just ruined the core of the best team in the NBA.

    What a douche-bag.

What happens now in 2-3 years when Shaq dies, Nash is too slow to be dominant, Bell is too old to play at a high level and Grant Hill injures his ankle again?

    They become the Heat!!

This is great for the Heat, however, who lose Shaq's insane contract and get much younger with a guy who actually might look into playing once in a while.

to put into perspective how stupid this is:

    The Heat get:

    15 pts a game, 10 rebounds a game, 2 assists a game
    and
    5 points a game, 1 rebound and 1 assist a game

    total:

    20 pts 11 rebounds and 3 assists

Average age of the two players: 28

    The Suns get back:

14 pts, 8 rebounds and 1 assist per game

Average age of the player: 34 (about to be 35).

So the Heat get more for the future and more for the present. Makes you further wonder why the Suns would do this, considering Shaq has only played 32 games and has only played 28 mins in those games, whereas Marion has played at least 79 games every year since 2000.

Steve Kerr better win now, and by now, I mean like this year, because their lineup as is:

    C. Shaq (35 at season's end)
    PF. Stoudamire (25)
    SF. Hill (35)
    SG. Bell (31)
PG. Nash (about to be 34)

Its dumb but I can see why they did it. The Suns basically traded Marion's contract which they have been trying to get rid of. While, at the same time feel as if they need to match the Lakers' size and find a match for Duncan.

Will they accomplish that? I doubt it, but I can understand the theory behind it.

It is obvious Kerr is giving the team a two year window, which is understandable and smart with their contracts, but did they pick the right guy?

The best team are you serious. What have the Suns done in the past 3 years but flop out of the playoffs.

If the NFL season started today who would you put your money on? Did they win the Super Bowl last year?

Honestly TB3, I am not a big NFL fan at all. I prefer college football and NBA basketball and baseball.

But i would say the Colts, just because they will be healthy again.

    Well, you're no help.

I was talking about the Patriots being the best, without winning the ship.

the kryptonite to the Suns has been the Spurs.

the spurs aren't the Spurs this year.

the Suns are the best team.

The Suns were dominant because they played a style unique to the rest of the NBA.

I have a real bad feeling that they won't be able to develop enough of an identity in one half of a season to be able to beat the Spurs at their own game.
