Seriously, you guys need to stop blaming Miles for things that aren't his fault.

You must have missed "that game" in New Orleans........it's been going on for a few years now. The TREND is getting worse every year.

Bertman didn't lift a finger to try and keep Saban at LSU either. Just let Huizenga fly into BR Metro several times and sweep Nick off his feet. I remember him saying that "I'm not going to get into a bidding war with the Dolphins" regarding Nick Saban. Of course, you can't pay what the Miami Dolphins would be paying but at least make the pot a little sweeter with a new and bigger contract with added incentives. Bertman didn't do shite. Just sat there and let him walk away. Saban became a better coach with each passing year and who knows how many SEC and NC's LSU would have won if "Cheap Skip" would have made an effort.

Well, that is total bullshit. First of all, it wasn't just the AD, it was the chancellor and the BoS involved too, for that kind of money. LSU had just made Nick the highest paid coach in college football, gave him a seven-year contract, promised him a new Academic Center for Athletes and a new Football Center (both of which Les is now enjoying). Essentially LSU gave Nick everything he asked for.

Nick deciding to leave after all of that is all on Nick.

I will back the amigo here. He was going 1 way or another 1 year or another. Teams were coming from all angles every year. At least we don't have that problem anymore. Sadly.

I wonder if Okie State would ring Miles' agent's phone should Gundy find another place of employment?
