In terms of accomplishments at LSU he fares very well... name one undefeated season saban had while here... I don't care what accolades he accomplishes at Bama, he didn't do them here so it's mute.
this is not a knee-jerk reaction to an embarrassing loss; this is the truth. miles is not a good coach. it doesnt make me a negative person, or any less of an lsu fan, it's the simple truth. some people blindly follow him because of the national championship, which is fine. i was elated in 07, but we got a lot of breaks to get there. a lot of talent and luck goes into winning it all. not every coach that wins one is a great coach, and there are a lot of great coaches that havent had the good fortune to win one. he's out of his element, and has been for a long time. he coached not to lose against UT in 05 and Auburn in 06. he allowed crowton to take the ball out of charles scott's hands in the second half vs kentucky in 07 when they had no answer for him. he has little to no awareness in time/game management (timeout after a change in possession, t.o. after another t.o., t.o. when the opposing team has too many people on the field, NO plan w/one second left, etc.) ive never understood the hire, and i just hope lsu doesnt wait until we're no longer a top 25 program to make a change.
I'm comparing Miles to a fellow SEC coach leading a similar program. Seems a good comparison, particularly considering Saban coached here before Miles. Who else would we compare him to? Fulmer? Richt? Coker? Using Saban as a comparision is actually very logical. Because you feel jilted doesn't make it not so. So it is your belief that Miles is on the level of Saban. Beating the drum clinging to weak arguments in an attempt to bolster the perception of Miles' coaching performance indicates an attempt at propaganda rather than reason.
I have nothing against Miles until the claim of "I don't know who said to clock the ball". If he'd just left it at "I screwed up" then I'd have no issues other than how the game ended. Even that would have gone away by Saturday. I'll get over it but I have a little less respect for him...all I can say about it Edit... just watched the replay of his news conference on ESPN held by Miles today...he said that the motion he was using was that Tolliver was down when the Ole Miss player came up with the ball after the play. That is a plausible explaination and he went on to say that he takes full responsibility for the clock management issue. He owned up to his mistake and I move on...BRING ON THE RAZORBACKS!!!
Saban is a good coach, just like imo, Miles is a good coach. Saban as well as Miles surrounds themselves with good assistants. But in our case we've had two years of dismal play on both sides of the ball... this year it just so happens that the offense can't move the ball. But in clear cut terms of who's the better coach while at LSU, I will have to say Miles... since he's the 3rd winningest coach in the LSU football world... and last I checked Saban is not 1 or 2, so yes... in terms of what either has done or did at LSU... Miles is the better coach. Sorry bud the stats don't lie... as for anything Saban did before or anything he may do after he left LSU, who phuckin cares... you all are mad at Miles for supposedly lieing about who made a call, and want him banished from LA for it... but Saban straight the phuck up lied about leaving for Miami, and then lied about coming to our rival... and yet a lot of you still entertain love fests with the biatch they call Saban. There's a whole section of LSU fans that have no buisness making fun of the Bama, Trojan, or Buckeye fans for being delusional until they get themselves some help first.
With all the grammar, spelling and punctuation errors that I see all over this forum, I am thankful you found the time to correct me and my post of all the others you had to choose from. Yes, every now and then I make a mistake.
And you are man enough to admit it, a quality most of us find admirable. Especially when our coach does it. That you Coach Miles?
