I understand you are all looking for scalps to display on your Wall of LSU coaches but, seriously, get over it.

I love this forum but coming here and seeing the first page full of repetitious threads saying EXACTLY the same thing over and over gets old. You have your right to opinion, just as I have mine, but how about you do yourself a favor and post it among the rest of the muck.

I was just as irritated as the rest of you yesterday but in NO WAY am I going to be calling for Miles' head after yesterday's loss. It is amazing to see the same people who were defending Miles a few weeks back turning on him. LSU is in the position to end up 10-3 and we have a lot to look forward to.

If Miles brings us to the NC next year are all of you going to eat crow? Even my friends, who hate LSU, realize that calling for Miles to be fired is an ignorant presumption to make.

You can ding me, you can flame me, but at the end of the day my conscience is enriched with the fact that I will always support my team and coach (who stood by us in 2007).

Thank you, CLM, for everything you have done from at least one of your supporters.

You understand by posting this you are doing exactly what the fans here have been doing right? It's called venting and it will die down. It just happened last night. You can't expect everyone to be over it so soon.

For many of us it isn't just the events of this past weekend that have us upset. It's been a series of unfortunate events in the Miles era that have us concerned.

If LSU wins a NC next year it will be because we fired Miles and have done a good job replacing him.

If I'm wrong, I'll be here. I didn't like Miles but started doubting myself when Miles backed into his first NC. I defended him last year and respect him for knocking off Perrilloux, but all that crumbled early this season.

I was on the wall about miles when he first got here, and wasnt happy with bringing in gc, since i personally know two different people, who do not know each other, but both had ties to either byu or oregon during crowtons stay... and both had the same thing to say about him "enjoy him for one year" and then after that "he'll bring you a ton of heartache" and both said his so called genius never materialized. as the head coach miles has all of this to shoulder. after the 07 season we lost a ton of leadership, the perriloux fiasco, bo left , the co dc thing, and now gc's offense sucks ass so our defense is gassed in the 4th. there's not a coach in the country that could handle that much adversity back to back and still be as successful.
we'll see a new oc after the bowl, and we'll start putting our talent back on display which should help solidify the other side of the ball for us. after next season the miles haters right now can honestly say one way or the other how he's really doing since he'll be done with his 6th season here.

Miles handled the Perrilloux fiasco but chose to recruit him, a player that admited he wouldn't have come here had Saban been the coach. Pellini left and Miles decided on co DCs. Miles chose to replace Jimbo with Crowton. The only thing that isn't on Miles (at least somewhat) is losing a ton of leadership. I don't give Miles much of a pass for any of that.

And Miles is doing something that Saban never did. Back to back mediocre years.

And Saban is doing something Miles has never done - back to back undefeated regular seasons. Miles doesn't really fare that well in the comparison.

I'm not saying that everyone should be over it. Hell, I get random moments of this feeling that something isn't right and then I remember last night's game.

The thing I am stressing is this isn't the time to talk about calling for Miles' head...especially 10+ times. Either certain posters are flexing their "e-penis" by padding their post count with the same post over and over or they just get off on bashing Miles and GC every chance they get.

I just got back from the gas station and I was wearing my LSU sweatshirt and cap (yes, I wear them even after a loss) and a man I did not know walked up and said "LSU, huh?" and I said "Yea, not too proud right now" and he responded "Don't worry about it, ya'll are stacked and will be top shelf next year."

My girlfriend's father, who really doesn't care for LSU one way or the other, walked in last night and said "Hey man, what happened? Miles is a great and intelligent coach but what was that?" Now, sure, it was a bonehead call but the thing that stands out is other people realize Miles is a great coach...as most of us have been saying for the past few weeks.

Let's just remember this, Ole Miss is NOT Stanford nor are they Connecticut. We could be in worse situations.

I don't get the constant need for people to compare Miles with Saban. Why not compare Miles to other coaches like JoPa, Weis, Carroll, Butch Davis, Stoops, Bowden, Schiano, Meyer, Ferentz, etc.

    It's always Saban, Saban, Saban.

Really, it shows a lack of objectivity. If you guys love Saban so much, go become Bama fans.

I don't get the obsession. Saban jilted us. He'll never be back. Ever.

    Get over it.

Ever hear about the Indian chief who didn't know top from bottom?

Now there was a scalp collection!

I think that was Chief ManyMiles.
