Seriously...do we have a REAL reason why Lee doesn't play?

All i'm going to say is 3 straight games with less than 100 yards passing for Jordan Jefferson. I bet TC McCartney could do better than that. It would be one thing if our guys weren't open, and dropped everything. They did have some drops, but hell, Jordan can't get them the ball. J Lee came in and moved the chains, or at least would have if not for the illegal formation call.

Ok, why not Shepard, it's obvious he is a thousand times better at the option than Jefferson, who is probably the worst option qb i have ever seen play. He can't throw much worse. JJ short arms a long ball that Tolliver would have had for 6, skips balls to receivers, throws them over their head, behind them, 5 feet short, and to the other team.

The only things Jefferson was good at last year, was red zone effeciency, and completion percentage. Well guess what, he sucks at that this season. So what does that leave? A guy who can't run the option, who can't pass, a guy who can't move the chains, or sustain drives, a guy with no confidence, who isn't effecient, and sucks in the red zone now.

If Miles doesn't start Lee against Tennessee than he is either the most stubborn man on the planet, a complete buffoon, or Jarrett Lee is sleeping with his wife.

It makes no sense. Take a page out of Andy Reid's book Coach, make the change.

Well according to all past performances he will be quite a bit worse than Jefferson. In any event, since the offense is so dysfunctional thanks to Crowton, it really doesn’t matter anyway because we can’t win the SEC with our piss poor offense.

No, you JL homers need a full dose of his medicine. Otherwise, you homers will never stop harping.

Where have I said that JJ is cutting it? Actually, since Crowton’s stint at BYU there hasn’t been a QB yet that was capable of cutting it under Crowton’s read option spread offense. In any event, it is no reason for you to start bashing JJ, since he is clearly doing his best.

Most teams have them for in case the starter becomes injured. However, most teams don’t play their reserves except for at mop up time, when they have a comfortable lead.

Or the starter is incapable of getting the maximum production out of the offense.

Delusional Jefferson worshippers need the medicine most of all.

There aren't many of them. You cannot logically reason that Lee will do any better, but again, at this point, he certainly cannot do any worse.

Let him have his shot, then if he doesn't get it done, put Shep in.

LSU-SIU is right. In 2007 Miles made Crowton use Fisher’s offense, and with the addition of the pistol package and a read option passing package, the offense was primarily Fisher’s offense in 2007 because Matt Flynn had grew up under that system and it would have been extremely unfair to Matt Flynn to suddenly switch the offense on him after 4 years of being in Fisher’s system for so long and especially in the year he was finally going to get to be the starter. In any event, there were strong indications of Crowton’s impending incompetence in 2007. Just re-watch the Kentucky and the Arkansas games to see what I am talking about.

Just curious...the coaches don't deserve most of the credit for the QB's poor performances. Why can other team's coaches coach QBs, but yet ours can't?

Besides if you go back and take a close look at GC's coaching career since he was the head coach and OC at BYU, you will see that all the QBs he coached also miserably failed in his read option spread offense.

All past performances???? All??? What about the last two years? What is JL's interception rate per attempt versus JJ's the last two seasons?

You are basing your arguements on the play of two kids from three seasons ago and think you are being persuasive? Get us some facts.

Finally, I am not sure there is a JL 'homer' in all of Tiger Nation. All we know is that this is the worst QB play seen by LSU in many, many years. Really hard to believe that Lee is worse.

The coaches and the players, unless you believe that there is some sort of sinister conspiracy by the coaching staff and the players to keep JL off the playing field.

It means "clearly" as JJ is clearly the better QB of the two.

Not in Crowton’s read option spread offense, as so for no QB yet, not at BYU, not at Oregon, and now not at LSU, has been able to master Crowton’s offense because it is literally impossible.
