Sept. 4 polls-if anyone is interested

The Coaches Poll is what got US the split. In fact, many have argued, had it not been for the agreement with the BCS that we may not have gotten it. That's so long ago though, I've said more about that than I care to. You all feel free to question polls. Bottom line is if we take care of OUR business, we'll be fine.

His antics and personality aside, Saban is hands down the best coach in college football.

 

If it weren't for the agreed-upon playoff format, I would argue that the BCS should be abandoned anyway and replaced with a weighted average of the AP and USAT/Coaches poll. The entire point of including a computer component was to mitigate human bias. When the computers gave the humans a result they didn't like (USC '03), they decided to reweight the computers 1/3 and the humans 2/3. With Okie State's final lead in the computers, the human voters decided to marginalize OSU to arrive at their desired result. If the humans are simply going to ignore what the computers spit out when they don't like it, then what's the point of having them in the first place?

 

I still prefer Miles. I might be wrong but I think he's a better coach, and actually cares about his kids.

 

I don't like Saban, but I think that is unfair.

Saban is just bigger than the program, Miles is not.
