    Since biddy ball I know to "stop the ball". One Tenn player took the ball in, ignore her totally. Double Parker as soon as she gets it. Guard the other three and steal the pass. I sat in total shock as Parker just dribbled down court. Elementary frickin basketball.

    I'm sorry for the girls. Hell, lose on a great play, don't just give it to em.

    Lisa Leslie is the only real dominant post player that league has ever had and she started her career in her late 20s.

    Fowles will break all the records. All the rebounding records, etc.., because she will be the 1st dominant post player to be able to have a full career (assuming the league keeps going).

    I totally agree. I have no clue what Van told them to do in that huddle, but I sure hope it wasn't to do what they did.

    Exactly!

    You factor that in and that is why she should go over Parker in the draft. Parker is a good player, with a pretty face, on a juggernaut team, with a famous coach...but Fowles is a SUPER STAR!!! I said it...and I stick by it.

    you laugh, but I think the top-paid girls make 100 g's a year.

    that's not bad for a 3-4 month season.

    Watch Stanford play. They make the play so beautifully.

    I think with Big Syl in the paint, you could center your offense around her in more ways than one. We never ever developed her as a passer to allow Chaney and others to have wide open looks on the outside. Our girls only took outside shots because we couldn't get the ball into Syl.

    Max for 2007 was 93K. I wonder what a number one overall rookie gets? You're right though, not bad for 3-4 months of nobody watching your games.

    Edit: Picks 1-4 last year got $43,200.
