Not to mention maybe getting Brennan a few snaps. But like someone else said, redshirt is still on the table. As for the D, we were one errant snap away from a score by SLU; our defense wasn’t blameless.
You might have missed our passing game; it was junk. Brosette did pretty good, OL opened some big holes (second week in a row).
Brennan could’ve played all of this game and still had a red shirt option. This was a game that Brennan imo definitely needed to play a half.
I disagree. MB got snaps last year and even though they were Canadian snaps it was still game time stuff. I'm ok with getting Joe as many as possible before the ugly stretch begins. Not real happy with the production but meh, maybe it will gel. Amplifies the pain of losing Ingrham
They just played lazy, it’s typical of an LSU team. Regardless of who the coach is we see this every year, we only play well enough to win for these teams. Goal is to avoid injury and make it to next week. I don’t like it but it seems to be our MO!
In the second half our offense managed one TD late after D returned a fumble to SLU-18 yard line. We had another 33 yard drive consisting of five plays (first possession of third quarter, stalled at LSU-45 yard line). We had two three-and-outs. And that’s it. SLU had a five play drive to start the third quarter and then three drives over 10 plays each that all ended in LSU territory. Offense and Defense got out coached in second half. That includes our $3M man and his henchman, E, and our $2.5M genius over the D.
Pre season everyone called Auburn game a loss so not sure why all of a sudden you dickheads are expecting to go there and dominate them.
I'd say it's a lot more probable from just about any team. It's not uncommon to see teams play down to their competition. I think we see a much better team next week. At least I hope. We now get a week of hearing every talking head with a prompter and an earpiece tell us how bad the chickens are going to thrash us. Hope it turns out the same as the Miami game.
Just a little note some of you may have missed. In addition to not having Ingram or Magee or Chassion we were missing these guys Divinity, left tackle Saahdiq Charles, cornerback Jontre Kirklin, fullback Tory Carter, tight end Aaron Moffitt and defensive tackle Ed Alexander were not seen with LSU at any point on Saturday.
