Ok,it's been 15 min.Whew that was a long time to be away fro here. I know bret is working on things.I renewed my contributer status while the site was having problems, but was hoping things would be corrected by now.It is darn near impossible for me to do anything here, and yes I am a little frustrated, but I will not be gone for long. There are just some local sites that are working much better at the time being, and I wanted to let some of my friends here know that.Anyway,I'm gone fo ranother whole 15 min.,see ya'll in the future!!!!
I didn't mean to paint this with a wide brush. Sure there are some true fans on here as of late. But had you been on here for a while, you'd have noticed exactly what I did. Wasn't aiming at you and folks like you...I hope you got my point though. I work on Computers for a living, and I like MACs. Good machines, only fault I find with them still to this day is the availability of a lot of soft. BTW, welcome to TF tigerhoss:grin:
MJ I may be able to help a bit with some of this...PM me before ya go off the deep end Bro...(I do this stuff for a living)
say hello to slowflowpro for me man. i always enjoy reading and hearing the most foolish things ever to come out of someone's mouth. i especially enjoy it when that mouth is the voice of an entire forum community. seriously man, don't go to that site. there's nothing to talk about right now anyway.
LVTGREEN is right; it sure is addictive here. On any day I have access to a computer, God knows how many times I check Tigerforums. The intermittent delays or 'freezes' experienced on Tigerforums are frustrating. I do not think it is an issue of whether it is a PC or Mac, nor is it a matter of the browser used: IE vs Mozilla. I do not ever remember much of this problem during the time when the 2003 team won the NC game. I suspect it is an issue with the access route to the host site, which only seemed to have gotten worse suddenly recently. Could it possibly be some glitch in the hardware on the host site or bandwidth? The same problem can be experienced during the 'slow' times during the day when there were not that many viewers on Tigerforums. If this continues on, I might have to go and seek some counselling ,or go to detox
My plan is to drink through this lessening the effects caused by slow poking. Remember dial up?
...but you are talking about many kegs of beer or casefuls of high octane drinks, if you count all the days leading to Jan7th!!! Your suggestion is well taken; at least the boos can slow down the mentation a bit to keep it in sync with the website:hihi:
wow that slowflowpro dude has 85195 posts in just under 4 years. That's nearly 2000 posts per month on a consistent basis over nearly 48 months. And he's an idiot? And it says his favorite team is Georgia. Is that true? Wow. Maybe that's why I never visit that site.
mj, I have not been able to moderate during the past few days at all.. been loading way too slow. To be honest, I am shocked the issue has gone on for as long as it has. I don't remember the thread it was made in, but Brett said something about relocating to a new datacenet. The one he is in currently ha sbeen the one TF has been at form the start. hopefully he's getting enough contributions to fund such a move!
Brett posted that under the "Downtime" thread. Tigerforums access used to be great all along only until recently.
