I think Petrino is going to be the spark that Arkansas needed. Despite Nutt being in my opinion a very under rated coach, things had for some reason started to spiral out of control up there, to much controversy and he made a good move to Ole Miss, where I think he will be a good fit for there program. Crooms is defintily bringing up Missisissipi State and is doing a great job with that program, I think he is going to start getting the players he needs there. I think that Saban will be able to turn Alabama around and make them competitive again. He is an excellant recruiter and IMO a pretty good coach, if he can just get that spark back that he had in his days at LSU. Tubberville is always tough, and always has Auburn ready to play. Then of course there is CLM, what more needs to be said. 3 straight top 5 finishes and possibly a NC this year. The future looks bright for LSU but the commpetion is going to get tougher yet. :LSU231: :milesmic:

I think the West has the POTENTIAL to be the toughest division in the SEC--and possibly the toughest in all of college football, however, Petrino's character is take a HUGE hit as we speak!

In the AJC, former Arkansas standout and last year's Falcons' #1 draft pick, Jamaal Anderson was telling everyone within ear-shot that Petrino is "disloyal" and a "coward" and the photo of him in the newspaper was to Arkansas supporters offering them his first-hand opinion of Petrino.

He's taking quite possibly more of a hit than what Saban caught and it took Saban two recruiting classes to see an impact of his self-proclaimed "greatness" to show.

...It might take Petrino more time...

Yeah Petrino is taking a hit, I guess we'll just have to see if things calm down before the season. If he has a somewhat decent season I think people will forget about that. A lot of talent is leaving so people aren't expecting much next year. As far as Jamaal Anderson, first I think he probably is going to say that kind of stuff just because everyone else in the locker room is too. Second I think he's also probably mad about what happened to Nutt. So I'm not surprised about his comments. Petrino like a lot of other coaches, just can't seem to cut it in the NFL.

I just wonder if the other coaches would use Anderson's views on Petrino as ammo during the recruiting season.
