I'm not happy that Florida lost but I hope this loss lets everyone who jumped on that media created SEC Speed bandwagon see that it doesn't matter if you have fast wideouts or RB's. The game is decided by preperation and actually showing up with motivation. I know Florida has like 59 freshmen on its roster but still, their secondary got blown to hell. I know that the Tigers will be prepared but hopefully this Florida loss lets them take OSU a little more seriously. :geauxtige :crystal: :milesmic: :LSU231:
I understand your point about the speed thing. But if the Tigers aren't taking the Buckeyes seriously, regardless of the Florida loss, we're in deep sneakers. I'd bet otherwise.
This is not a big deal, my disagreement with GGF post, but I think being overconfident is an unconscious state. In the absence of anything to indicate you have something to worry about, you don't worry. You are overconfident, and you don't know it. If you knew it, you'd do something about it. I wish Fla. no ill, I rather like them and pulled for them to beat OSU last year, for the glory of the SEC. If you're gonna lose to a team, they just as soon be the national champs! It makes you season look better. :geauxtige :crystal:
Look on the bright side...the chances of TWO upsets like that happening are slim. :hihi: LSU Baby!! We know Miles got da testicles and he's about to show everyone how he can Bust a nutt. geauxgeaux is gonna LUV it.
Also, It looked like the Illinois had a little speed when the safety, Davis caught McKnight from behind. I think the whole speed concept is overrated, Ohio State had one whole year to hear about how slow they are and how they blew the game last year. They won't make that same mistake again, its about redemption. I also am tired of people discounting big ten teams because they don't play in the SEC. History the last few years could play a role in this game, hopefully it will. LSU is usually ready to take someone to the woodshed in bowl games under CLM's, lets hope it continues! I hope people don't take my post the wrong way but I wouldn't make light of OSU, I think UM today has proved that!
I couldn't agree any more with the fact that LSU isn't taking anyone lightly, I'm just tired of hearing about SEC speed. The media types like "Herbie" created that sh#t to create more tension between conferences. :geauxtige :crystal: :milesmic: :LSU231: :tigereye:
Loved that 'cant be caught in the open fieelllllld, davis catches him from behind' line from Musberger.
Yeah but McKnight wasn't in an open sprint like Davis either, he was cutting back and forth avoiding tackles but Davis was extremely fast and still may have caught him, just sayin.
WOW. I know this is off topic but Jesus Hoobastank Christ. Mark May just made Holtz look like a total tard. I know this is an everyday occurence but everytime Holtz is on, he is making a huge case for OSU and when May counters, Holtz says it doesn't matter. How does that old saying go. I love the way May looks at Holtz in disgust, and then laughs at him on national television. :geauxtige :crystal: :milesmic: :LSU231:
