*sigh* Vandy had a damn good pitcher. :cuss: Time for the rebound. Game is scheduled for 1:30 (that's 7:30pm eL eS shU), and again Cox will carry the broadcast. Beware, it looks like it will rain sometime during the day, so expect long delays. Your pitcher LSU – So. RHP Anthony Ranaudo (7-3, 3.26 ERA, 85.2 IP, 34 BB, 118 SO)
Almost 1:30 in the morning local time and Bama and USC are still playing! That is 2:30 ET for USC. That is rough. 11 innings.
Replay of LSU's Friday night game at Alabama Ranaudo (I presume) vs. Hyatt (RH) Hyatt allowed just two runs through seven innings. He gave up 3 singles in the 8th and was relieved by Adam Morgan. LSU barely won that game thanks to 4 Bama errors.
Looks like the SEC will only have one national seed, LSU. UF might enter the conversation if they win the tournament but not very likely.
hopefully the bats will come to life today. our pitching was good enough to win last night, but we still can't seem to figure out a team's ace. minor was very, very impressive. vandy's defense was also impressive. i think it was skip who said that hitting into double plays was indicative of "getting good whacks" at the plate. we hit into three inning ending DPs in a row last night. it's a game of inches, and hopefully we'll have better baseball fortune today! geaux tigers!
Ranaudo looking good Bama with a leadoff hit up the middle Fly to CF, 1 out, man on 1st Schimpf playing 1st, doesn't catch the pickoff attempt, runner advances to 2nd Stike out, 2 outs, man on 2nd Strikes out Matthes! Bottom of the first coming up
