I think Hanover ignoring/misreading/whatever that bunt signal early in the game and hitting into a DP changed the game.

You are right, actually. I was just trying to kind.

And where was Landry. Dude was on fire last game. Let him play.

Tigers were flat. Never got off the bus. Lack of focus was very evident starting with the fielding error early in the game. CPM owns this one and doesn't seem to have found the answer yet. Left handed pitching is only one of the issues, albeit a big one, the Tigers have to fix.

It would be good to see consistency, a killer instinct and a team that comes out fired up for every contest.

So, tomorrow the Tigers will ring up 14 runs, squeak a win on Friday and pack the bags after a loss on Saturday. That is if the regular season is any indicator ...

    LSU plays Bama on Thursday
    -------------------------------------
Bama off to a quick 3-0 lead in the 1st and added another in the 4th.
South Carolina with 2 in the 5th and 3 in the 6th.
Bama's Matthes with his 28th HR of the year, ties it up at 5 in the bottom of the 7th

Scoreless since, still 5-5. South Carolina coming to bat in the top of the 10th.

    South Carolina doesn't score
Bama's Wells ejected for arguing that a batter was hit in the hand by a pitch
Bama gets runners on 1st and 2nd w/ 1 out, Gamecocks change pitchers, get an out, change pitchers and get the final out
No score in the 10th, top of the 11th coming up

South Carolina with runners on the corners and 1 out, batter hbp to load the bases
    Bama changes pitchers
Catcher saves 1 wild pitch, but a later pitch gets by and scores a run
Not sure how the batter got to 1st, but with the bases loaded Bama walks in another run
South Carolina gets a double, knocks in two runs
South Carolina up 9 to 5, bottom of the 11th coming up.

    Bama batting
    Leadoff batter walks
Fly out to CF, 1 out
    Batter walks
Fly out to RF, 2 outs w/ runners on 1st and 3rd
    Batter walks, bases loaded
    Ground out, game over

South Carolina wins 9 to 5

The lower seed won all 4 games

Even though Bama is the home team, I would much rather face them instead of SC as of late.

yep. i got nervous going into the game when i heard that the previous two games the lower seed had won. that was just bad mojo.

time to turn it around now and make a run.

Despite what some here may think, I still agree with the choice of going with Ross. Like I said in another thread, he is trying to line up his pitchers for NCAA post season play. He also wanted to give a little more rest to the his aces since Anthony had pitched two weeks in a row on short rest and Coleman 1 week on short rest. Now bothwill be on full rest the next time they pitch. As much as I would like to win this tourny, its not the ultimate goal and not worth screwing up your ace pitcher's arms if we don't need it to secure a national seed. (come to think of it, its never really ok to screw a kids arm up considering the future they have in the pros.)

Agreed! Time for the higher seeds to take charge and run this thing out.

Playing hookie from work this afternoon and headed out to the Met to cheer them on.

My daughter and I have decided to abandon last night's practice of eating only the purple and gold Skittles in the bag. Today we'll eat just the red ones.
