It was a good one. If that 6-7 minute drought hadn't hit we would have had a good one at the end. Hopefully the NIT people were watching. This team deserves more post season play.
Unfortunately they forgot to fight smart. The game stats will reveal the real horror this game was for LSU. Example: THREE (3) different dry spells without scoring a point - over TWELVE (12) unproductive minutes without a single point! That is approximately one-third of the entire game. Sheeesh. CTJ may be a nice guy but he lacks two qualities. 1. He cannot recruit. 2. He cannot teach defense. Good thing I only wasted a few minutes listening to the game. I joined in when LSU led 35-30. After UK went on an 11-2 run making the score UK-41 LSU 37 I couldn't stand it anymore. I grew up listening to the Tigers play the Wildcats featuring Cliff Hagan vs LSU's Bob Pettit. That was the days of REAL basketball. :geaux:
I wasn't able to watch the game, but here's the thing that stands out to me: Kentucky shot from the line THIRTY-THREE times, yet Justin Hamilton went 1-12 and and only shot 4 FTs? So you're telling me he had 11 plain, flat-out misses? Seems unlikely.
I'll get those damn kids! And stay off my lawn! Please, can't coach defense? You do realize he just held the 16th best scoring offense in the nation over 17 point below their season average, right? That Kentucky team is damn near 50% shooting FOR THE YEAR.
Unbelievable. LSU puts in a solid effort against THE BEST team in the country and this is what you come up with??? Pathetic bro. Have fun drowning in your own misery chief.
