Might as well get this going. Not expecting a W, but if we keep the self-inflicted wounds to a minimum and play smart ball, might keep it close. Never say never.
We need a turbo powered slingshot, but ya never know! :geaux: The game is on the SEC Network, here is the nationwide list of affiliates. The game is also online at espn3 One of the affiliates is CO Denver ALTITUDE RSN, which is on: DirecTV channel 681 and Dish Network channel 410 ESPN Media Zone put out a release saying the game was on ESPNU, but hardly anyone else is confirming this. I asked Mike Humes at ESPN about it, and he said it was his understanding that ESPNU would be blacked out in SEC country. Selective blackouts are harder to do on satellite, but it's possible. Anyway if you have no other way to watch it, give ESPNU a shot...
Everybody needs to stick to their respective strengths and play their best. We need to get the ball to Hamilton early and hope we can get Davis in foul trouble.
if we win this game, would it be the most improbable victory, and the biggest upset pulled off in LSU history?
In a word, yes. I'm not sure any LSU memorable win, win vs Gtown in the dome, LSU vs Zona in PMAC, LSU v Kentucky in the final four run, equates to this. Just given that the 'cats went undefeated in the SEC, they're number one for so many weeks, and the odds against this team, the fact they are an improving team after years of rebuilding, but sort of recently downtrodden given the way they ended the season. But, at the same time, if this team finally has all cylinders going.... My best hope, it's in N.O., there's pride on the line and hustle and passion in the Tigers' hearts (with a play hard and winner take all attitude from start to finish), we keep it close and respectable (and certainly given their last meeting). Sort of like keeping it close against UNC in 2009... except this team isn't nearly as good as that team, and UK is probably as good as that UNC team on a pure talent level. That said, that is why you play the game. No sense in agonizing or analyzing. Let's see where the ball bounces. All you can judge is effort.
It's listed on channel 4 in local Baton Rouge area but I did see subject to blackout. Lots of UK fans flew into MSY judging from the offloads I saw. I know OUR fans won't show up in big numbers.
Surely the SEC tournament is going to be on TV. In Mobile, it's on the same channel that carries the SEC network football games (formerly Lincoln Financial, Jefferson Pilot, etc).
