I'm hearing a rumor that the SEC might offer membership to Texas and Oklahoma. If it is done then Alabama and Auburn would move to the East Division and Missouri would move to the west. There would only be 1 cross division game for each team. Sounds like a long shot to me but who knows what could happen. The Big 12 is not doing well right now.
I wish they would just subdivide the country into NE, NW, SE and SW and get rid of conferences altogether. Then let the top two from each division have an 8 team playoff. Each school picks three rivalry games that they play every year, other than that they are free to play anyone in their division of the country.
Pretty sure Houston gets a quick invite to the big 8 after that mass exodus of bluebloods. But in a brilliant move by the NCAA, all remaining teams lose their status as power 5 members.
Money talks loco. Especially when the ship they are riding on is about to be tits up and taking on water. Texas doesn't give a crap about tech and id expect OU to make a case to bring little sister along. If the package is done right I could see 4 coming aboard. Might be tech, maybe Baylor once they get all that title IX crap worked out. Long ways off, a lot can happen.
