Of course, LSU has played 2 conference games already and Bama and some others have played none. But . . . Total Offense = Alabama #1 . . . LSU #10 ( down from 9) Scoring Offense = Alabama #1 . . . LSU # 8 (up from 11) Passing Offense = Arkansas #1 . . . LSU #12 Rushing Offense = Auburn #1 . . . LSU #4 (down from 3) Total Defense = Alabama #1 . . . LSU #5 Scoring Defense = Alabama #1 . . . LSU # 2 (up from 7) Passing Defense = Kentucky #1 . . . LSU #9 (up from 11) Rushing Defense = South Carolina #1 . . . LSU #2 (down from #1) Punt Returns = LSU #1 Kick Returns = Florida #1 . . . LSU #3 (down from #2) Punt defense = Florida #1 . . . LSU #8 (down from 5) Kick defense = LSU #1 (up from 2) Fumbles Lost = Kentucky #1 . . . LSU #11 Fumbles recovered = LSU #1 Sacks =Arkansas #1. . . LSU #3 Tackles for Loss = LSU #1 Turnover margin = Florida #1 . . . LSU #9 The game one breakdowns still skew our pass defense numbers.
My mistake, they are #7 in the SEC, not #8 . . . and they only dropped two spots from #5. Florida #14 Vandy #15 Ole Miss #22 State #24 Georgia #47 Auburn #50 LSU #53
OK. So, how did they drop 2 spots in punt defense, when they only punted once and it was downed inside the 5?
not sure, but i think they only count punts where a return is attempted. so the punt you're referencing wouldn't go into the figuring.
Well LSU and Florida is the only team that can stop that crazy running game of the tide. Good thing we get florida a week after bama. So we can lose to bama and still get a bcs bowl. I see us playing in another sugar bowl this year honestly.
