Hope he has the smartness to learn from the dumb mistakes; hope he gets an earful from Manieri, for the team's sake. Silver lining: at least he's been hitting well. Does anyone feel that tomorrow's game is building up to be the climax of this series?
yeah, i agree. but wouldn't it be nice to see them play up to their full potential? i'm optimistic that it will come together eventually... just seems like after every step forward, they take a few steps back. i want to see them get over that mental "hump," if you will.
Don't get me wrong, that was me seeing the glass half full, but I honestly believe that we have to stop waiting for these last minute comebacks to get us back to a national title, sometimes they will come and sometimes they won't but the superstious side of me says lets hold on to those to the end (and by end I mean the last game that any team can play!) But we will have to see how everything goes! I can't complain to this point!
Tulane was a midweek game. Our pitching staff isn't good enough to win every midweek game against a team who considers us their college world series... Yesterday's loss was a great showing against maybe the best hitting team in the country right now. Mitchell got caught. I'm sure he heard about it. All this angst is silly, IMO. UGA is a great team and LSU nearly came from behind and caught them after trailing by 6 runs. That's a GOOD sign in my book.
