According to Oklahoma's Prez... Oklahoma president: SEC invited Sooners, Texas A&M during conference expansion frenzy - ESPN
Texas said the SEC Academics are not up to par. I laughed out loud, Their QB VInce Young got a what a 2 on the test they administer to incoming NFL players, basically saying he is borderline retarded. And he carried a 3.x at Texas someone said (I have no other proof of that just someone told me). And not a year passes where one of their players is not busted smoking dope. Sure I am not saying the SEC is full of Ivy League kids but for Texas to cast that stone made me laugh tremendously. Some of the schools in the SEC have some of the best colleges in the nation. Again Rohan Davey made me cringe when he spoke, love the guy but no future at NASA for him. But for ANY school in the Big 12-2 to claim they are some model of Academia is laughable...
Don't forget that the big 12 doesn't have as strict of academic requirements to get into their schools. I believe JUCO recruits have chosen a big 12 school over an SEC many times because they couldn't get qualified at an SEC school while they made it just fine in the big 12
Great example of academic fraud. Dude can't even get through a lap dance without having the po-po being involved how did he get through algebra?
Not trying to flame anyone, but if you think any SEC school other than Vandy is on par with Texas, you shouldn't be clowning Vince Young for being dumb. You can't just compare student-athletes, that's only a tiny percentage of a school's academic prestige.
I get it just fine, it is just part of the irony. I know the short horns are part of some blue blood academic association. So what, they are known for a QB that can't speak, read a defense, or navigate a strip club and some nut job perched atop the bell tower with a deer rifle and a bag of cheese sandwiches. Their band uniforms are also hideous. Tell me why Dez Bryant wanted to come to LSU so badly but ended up in stoolwater? No beef with you chewie, I understand the point you are trying to make. My point is screw texas.
