I was there, chief. Oregon has played in Tiger Stadium heat and humidity before and wilted in the second half. So have a lot of northern and west coast teams unused to playing in the semi-tropics. Oregon is no different. ?? Which Oregon game were you at? the one in 1977? 1934? or 1933? Learn some geography, OK? Tennessee is 500 miles north of BAton Rouge and not in the semi-tropics. I know my geography son. I know Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Monroe, Opelousas, Shreveport etc. Yes I know Tenn is up north, I referenced them simply because they are in the SEC. And you are right the weather for that game was pretty mild. Game delay for lightening, but that's just an inconvinience. Sorry, you both are yankee western teams. If you want to question my geographic knowledge perhaps you should check yourself a bit. I think you will be hard pressed to come up with an explaination of what a "yankee western" team is. I'm still laughing about that discription. That's a laugh, Oregon doesn't have tropical weather. Now that's true, but did you know there is a desert in Oregon? Google Alvord Desert if you'd like. Now if you can crank up 90 degree weather and 80% humidity in your indoor practice facility simply by flipping a couple switches. You can give players a bit of a feel for how it hits you from a fatigue stand point. We DO have some pretty decent facilities at Oregon.... What, has Oregon shifted its position on the planet or is it still at 45 degrees north latitude? Now what does that have to do with anything? We play serious football in the SEC, leave your lace underwear at home I'm glad you guys are taking this seriously, if we beat you wearing lace underwear, they will laugh you out of the south. LOL
That's what their offensive system requires. So unfortunately, they won't be lining up and trying to run it right at us. They'll be skating around, which is intended to nullify the size difference.
I've been around quite a few years and the transformation of the Oregon athletic department and facilities over the last 20 years has been fantastic!! Right down to the student athlete academic center that's named after a guy I use to play hoops with all the time. They are getting ready to start on new soccer, lacrosse and weight training facilities shortly. Plus, it is my understanding that adding another 12,000 seats to Autzen is in the "discussion" stages.
Question: How many universities have "Changed" the looks of their uniforms since Oregon went "high tech"? Question: How many threads have you seen about various teams touting their new uniforms since Oregon started the trend? Finally, I am well aware of the reasoning behind the changes at Oregon from the old Green Bay Packer style to the wide variety of uniform combinations now available. This was a project between Nike and the Oregon Warsaw Sports Marketing department in the business school. The concept was....... Forget about the alumni and tradition, what uniforms would the athletes like to have? Can we make better uniforms for athletes? What uniforms would possibly help attract recruits? That was the driving focus behind the change in uniforms. And you now see many schools talking each year about their new uniforms.
Guess. I'll give you a hint . . . LSU 56-Oregon 17. All teams outside the Confederacy are yankee teams. We recognize a difference between East Yankees and West Yankees. Basically West Yankees drive pickups and own guns and dress like like southerners, but they don't watch NASCAR and don't know Hoddy-Toddy from Sooeeey Pig. Think about it for a minute, college boy. If you show up wearing lace underwear, you will be laughed out of the stadium.

Dude, those things are FUGLY, I agree it is a trend right now to update and change the unis, but CA'MON MAN ...those things have been turible for the past few years. I do like the greys though, just need to get rid of the wings. On second thought, the wings are growing on me...and these new unis are much better than the past ones. For example....
To the degree that Oregon did? None. And only Oregon thought faux-pressed metal would make a nice addition to the shoulders. And only Oregon has as many outfits as Paris Hilton. Not as many as you seem to think. Only when the new design is terrible. Ya'll can have the recruits that want to be in fashion shows while they're playing. Because they all want to be just like Oregon, right? Sure, pal. I've seen a bunch of teams "modernize" their uniforms over the past few years, but only one has made theirs a laughingstock.
