SEC has won 6 of the 12 BCS Championships

I know it was a tough season folks.

But we should be glad we're part of something truly magical.

*Yet ESPN will still say the Pac-1 is the best conference.
*Yet USC just won their 12th straight National Title.
*Yet nobody should've watched because the Rose Bowl is all that matters.
*Yet speed is national not just in the south.
*Yet the SEC is over-rated.
*Yet lowly Notre Dame still has their own network.
*Yet Petey Carroll is the greatest coach ever.

I would've been interested to see if UT could've pulled it off with McCoy in the lineup. It's also interesting that it seems all the big programs can find themselves in heaps of QB trouble if their starter goes down.

Texas really only had a true freshman (albeit one that looks really talented, but very, very green) to back up their senior QB? We need to gain some perspective when we criticize the mess that has been our QB situation the last two years.

Anyway, congrats to Alabama for an undefeated season. We came closer to beating them than Texas did--and we also lost our QB, best RB, and had our best defender out for a couple of key plays.

The SEC is truly asserting it's dominance. Makes you wonder what would've happened if AU, instead of OU, had gotten the NCG nod after the '04 season.

 

Yeah. At least we don't have the "we have a good QB" problem.

 

Alabama did not dominate that game, take away the touchdown on the dumb azz call at the end of the half and the dropped touchdown and other dropped passes from the Texas receivers, its a different game.

 

Mack Brown seems to be getting a pass for giving UT a touchdown right before the half. That was your game right there.

Miles would be hanging in effigy all over La for that.

I really hate the end is here but I am looking forward to next season. I really think with the right attitude Bama can repeat.

Offense is coming back almost in it's entirety. What we lose on defense will be made up by even bigger and faster players.
