LSU was gashed by the run against spread teams last year (with the exception of WVU). Chavis needs to figure something about before August.
Correct. Masoli had a field day, and Thomas is better than him. Auburn gave him the blueprint last night. I sure as hell hope he DVR'd the game. Problem is that it's nearly impossible to simulate in practice. That's why last night was largely a defensive battle. The defenses weren't going against the practice squad during the bowl prep; they were going against the most potent offenses in the country, running the exact type of system that they'd be seeing in the game.
Don't forget Trey Burton was really the only person who moved the ball against us in Gainesville also.
We always struggle with teams with mobile QB's running the spread. Our D doesn't know how to play against the read option either...good thing is that our defense is better than Auburn's so hopefully we step it up like they did against Oregon. We need as many points from our offense as we can, no room for error.
Yep. And Chris Relf when we played Moo U. Only spread option team that didn't give us fits was Vandy. You'd think with all the experience going up against it by now that Chief would have a better gameplan developed by now. Can't say it doesn't worry me. . .
Either Ole Miss or LSU...............AND I'M GIVING "BIG" ODDS IT WON'T BE OLE MISS........:lol:
