Alex Bregman, what a year for the freshman. As impressive an inaugural season as you will see.

Nola had more innings pitched with the same ERA.

I thought Stanek had a 1.5 to Nola's 1.9. If they have the same ERA, then it makes sense. Not that I'm complaining...LOL. I just remember thinking he was just about as good as they get.

Nope, you're right. I looked again and Stanek's ERA was 1.40 in 90 IP. Nola was 1.94 in 102 IP.

Last time I looked must have been before the tourny stats were compiled.

    Stanek 9-2, 90 IP (15 starts), 1.40 ERA, .215 BA, 76 K, 1 CG, 0 SHO
    Nola 10-0, 102 IP (14 starts), 1.94 ERA, .194 BA, 105 K, 4 CG, 2 SHO

The ERA was the only thing Stanek had over Nola. This was not even that close ultimately, Nola is undoubtedly the best pitcher in the SEC this season.

How you like the anomaly of having a 1.94 ERA and a .194 BA against? Cool.

Stanek mysteriously averaged only 6 innings pitched per contest, while Nola was a workhorse averaging a whopping 7 1/3 per outing.
