Wouldn't that be something? Both teams control their own destiny. Auburn's remaining schedule: @ Arkansas @Tennessee Georgia Alabama I don't think it's too crazy to think that they could get to that Alabama game with a 6-1 SEC record.
This is funny. I was just on the phone with my brother (both of us are LSU grads), and we both said the same thing. Watch us beat Bama, then Auburn beat Bama, and Auburn gets in with 1 loss. Of course, that 1 loss being to us, and we will rehash that Ole Miss loss until the cows come home.
Never thought I'd say this but this is the outcome I'm hoping for. I'd rather the Taliban win the SEC than the gumps.
No way Auburn beats Bama. Bama will soundly win that game. They will maul that Auburn D. The Bama D is really geling into another stellar, shutdown D.
AU is actually coming on strong. Take off your Saban-colored glasses for a minute. I still expect to roll into Tuscaloosa with nothing to lose--and beat that Saban ass. AU can still beat Bama. Personally, I'd like them to lose to someone else besides Bama, to they'd have two SEC losses, and WE would have the tie-breaker.
I agree that I can certainly envision LSU going into to Tuscaloosa and defeat Bama. I have no doubt LSU will put up a hell of a fight come Nov 9. It will be a great game. I just can see Bama losing to Auburn. Auburn isnt quite there just yet.
I doubt the media will go for that, despite the Bama and Saban lovefest. Oregon, FSU, and OSU will all finish unbeaten. OSU is the definite team out. IF Bama is unbeaten I think they deserve to be in because theyre the defending champs from the previously most dominant conference. I think Oregon is the best team in the country, period but FSU will have the better resume. Whether 3 or 4 teams stay unbeaten it will be interesting and a lot of chatter at the end of the season.
