From the ESPN 2011 Bowl Schedule: January 1, 2011 Outback Bowl, 11:00 am ESPN.... Big Ten versus SEC Capital One Bowl, 1:00 pm ABC.. Big Ten versus SEC Gator Bowl, 1:00 pm CBS............ Big Ten versus SEC Dallas Football Classic, TBA........ Big Ten versus Big 12 Rose Bowl, 4:30 pm ABC............. Big Ten versus PAC 10 (subject to BCS selection) Fiesta Bowl, 8:00 pm ABC........... Big 12 versus at large (BCS selection) I may not be the brightest bulb on the tree, but I don't follow the logic of having the three SEC/Big Ten bowl games overlap from both a TV audience rating and advertising revenue sharing. Actually, for the Big Ten, there will be four overlapping games, as the Dallas Classic is the brainfart of trying to still use the old Cotton Bowl stadium, now that the Cotton Bowl will be moving to the new JerryDome, Jerry World, Cowboy Cathedral, whatever they call that thing... I understand the power of the New year's Day audience, but I find it hard to believe that either conference wouldn't benefit financially by moving one of our match-ups to another date. Thoughts?
