What controversy? Everyone with a brain knows the SEC runs circles around the Pac-1.

Maybe you should take baby steps and try to compare the Pac-1 to the Big 10, ACC, or Big 12 before trying to take on the big boys.

Now beach volleyball and underwater basketweaving...the west coast has the market cornered! :thumb:

Besides all of the above mentioned, the SEC puts more players in the pros than any other conference, and while i respect Oregon, y'all will learn something about hungry defenses on sept. 3rd.

And cheated last year so that's a wash with me but when a team schedules the Citadel they deserve what they get.

And 5 out of the last 7 with 4 different teams. No one else even comes close.

I can respect a fan that is willing to go against the current way of thinking. I don't think the SEC is head and shoulders above everyone. The media contributes to it because it is the hot thing to do nowadays. If not the SEC, they would be doing it for the big 10, or pac 10 or whatever conference. But the SEC is still the clear #1.

Also, I am curious as to how Sagarin calculates his schedule ranking. His rankings tend to be more outliers compared to the other computers, I've noticed over the years.

I find a major flaw in his rankings. For example, Oregon has the "10th" toughest schedule but lets look at their OOC from last year:

New Mexico - Finished 1-11 (Yes, they only won game in a mid-major conference)
Tennessee - An SEC team, but they finished 6-7, hardly impressive
Portland State - Not a FBS team

I could go on with the Pac 10 schedule but I find that absolutely ridiculous that Oregon had the 10th toughest schedule last year. And the Sagarin SOS loses credibility with me.

Also I find it very hypocritical for Pac 10 fans to come here and bash SEC teams for having weak OOC schedules but I see Div 1-AA teams on most Pac 10 teams schedules too. Big 10 teams schedules too. And the big 10 teams have been struggling to beat them even at that, yeah I'm looking at you Minnesota and Michigan.

Not to mention the PAC just split into two divisions and are moving to exactly what we and other conferences have been doing. And yes, this will give them more latitude to have OOC flexibility. I can assure you they won't fill all those dates with contenders, they don't, already.

California has Fresno State & Presbyterian
Washington St. has Idaho St, UNLV, and San Diego St.
Arizona has Northern Arizona and Louisiana-Lafayette
