Our 6th best team beat a conference champion. But yeah the SEC is overhyped. Right. Hopefully this is the begining of a good bowl season.:geauxtige :crystal:
Come on man...it was one game and it was the the Conference USA. With your line of thought....the WAC is the best conference in college football right now.
Uh no. I'm saying the SEC' 6th best team beat a team that won their conference. A team that had "the nations leading rusher" in Kevin Smith. MSU held the guy to 3.4 yards per carry. I know it wasn't a pretty game but MSU still won, the same MSU that we beat 45-0. I know Conf USA isn't a BCS conf. but UCF stayed with Texas for most of the game. The same Texas that beat #11 ASU big time.:geauxtige :crystal:  :milesmic:
I'm glad to hear that they won. I was listening to the game on my XM since I was out and about. For some reason, though, XM is broadcasting all of the games on the ESPN Radio station and they cut in to do a pregame for the Patriots game in the middle of the 4th quarter leaving the remainder of the Liberty Bowl broadcast nowhere to be found. I was a little perturbed. Regardless of whom they were playing, hats off to Croom for getting things done with State.
Well say what you want about UCF but understand UCF is on an upward swing! They are fighters and showed a lot of spirit this season including the Texas game. Also that rb, Smith, is returning next year and maybe a force to be reckoned with again!
Not really when he finally met a decent defense, mind you a defense that held us to 45 points, he sucked. 3.4 yards per carry is nothing to be happy about. Any way he is a decent running back but nothing great. D-MAC is the MAN. GO SEC. :geauxtige
Did I doubt the SEC? Nope I didn't. My point was for a team that hasn't amounted to much it is very exciting for them to have a good rb and on top of that get the opprotunity to play an SEC team and HOLD THEIR OWN! I am all about SEC power but be proud of the teams that can hold their own against them especially when they are only lately trying to prove their school as a football school!
NO NO NO, I refuse to recognize any team not in the SEC! I guess UCF had a good year. :geauxtige :crystal: :milesmic: :LSU231:
Get real. If Smith having 119 yards rushing with that 3.4 av. against them is "Sucking" what would you say about McFadden having 88 yards against them and only averaging 3.1 yard per carry? Smith is legit and a dam good back. I'd hate to see if Smith ran behind Arky's Oline. Calling the Nation's leading rusher "Decent" is ludicrous. Want to see how our backs did against Miss St? Hester- 68 Keiland Williams- 18 Charles Scott- 4 Richard Murphy- 35
