All i know is that if that was me doing that while my mom was being detained, the cop wouldn't have had to punch me, my mom would have.

Thats what Im thinking, no matter if the cop is in the wrong in any given situation, dont put your hands on him. Live to see another day, its just smart.

+1 and what I have preached to my kids from day one. If the cop is in the wrong, or you're innocent, etc., let it go for now and it will be handled later.

The situation was still out of control and he was being assaulted by two people. A hostile crowd was gathering putting the officer in greater danger. It's obvious by the video that it was time to end the already bad situation before it spiraled even further out of control. The punch was appropriate and effective. My only suggestion to him would be in the future to follow it with a left upper cut. She would have been much easier to cuff unconscious.

    Check this out...

At 1:49 into the Youtube video posted on the first page of the thread, a guy walks into the picture from the left. At the bottom left of the screen you can see something in his hand. There's are some that say it is a revolver, some say it's a cell phone camera. What yall think??

    it is a nuclear weapon.

i dont care how tough it is, or how poorly it pays. cops like being cops because they want to be authorities. thats why they work for crappy pay. i say if you want to be a hero, be a firefighter, then you dont have to be an ass, and women love you.

although to be fair, lots of cops get older and no longer are just bullies, they just are dudes who have cooled off and now they are left with a career as a cop, they are nicer.

What patrol school did you go to?

When its two on one, you take action. She jumped on him and he reacted. Hell, you could call that defensive. But sometimes its what you have to do.

Fact is, if more people would stop pretending that these actions are wrong, dont take jayz or nwa at face value, this wouldn't have happened. Why is a phucking 17 year old not listening to a policeman in the first place? Did she think that was her mom?
