When are people going to realize that you cannot touch a cop? When you put your hands on a police officer it is pretty much not going to end well.

I have three good friends that have been State Troopers for 10+ years and I have been told by each of them numerous times that cops will not tolerate you putting your hands on them under any circumstance.

Makes sense because who is to say that if someone touches the cop's arm, their next move would be to go for their gun, baton, or spray...officers do not know that and are going to always air on the side of caution.

Now I will agree with the FBI agent when he stated that they need to see if he used every tactic to defuse the situation. Bottom line, she was resisting arrest and her friend decided to lay her hands on the officer while trying to arrest her...bad move.

Also I heard there was more to the video than what ABC aired. I would like to see that.

The chick deserved it. It was one cop against two unruly people, with more bystanders who could potentially join in. He needed to get the situation under control before it spiraled even further.

As far as the officer, it will depend on that department's use of force policy, which unfortunately can vary widely from one city to the other. Pepper spray or tazing may have been a better option, but touching the police is never a very good idea. I'm biased, I know, but I had that sentiment beforehand.

If you grab and shove a cop you're lucky to get away with just being punched and not shot. The cop was surrounded and confronting more than one person getting physical with him. Looks like quick thinking to get one out of the way while he handles the other. I say give him an award and make him a police academy instructor.:thumb:

Man that was a clean shot. That's good for her. I bet she won't stick her face in someone else's police business any more.

Sadly she'll probably win effortlessly too. I'm actually amazed Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton haven't jumped in and made this a racist thing yet.
