Sure he did. It's all a smoke screen to get his azz out of Eugene before the hammer falls. Lache Seastrunk lights up Oregon Ducks' first spring football practice | OregonLive.com
We played his school for all 4 years he was in school. He wasn't that good. A lot of hype and he had his flashes of brilliance, but he didn't get the ball that much.
Seastrunk Officially Gone Oregon Ducks' Lache Seastrunk granted release amid NCAA review - ESPN So where does he go now? Why am I feeling good that he didn't choose LSU?
I really liked Lache and would have loved to see him in the UO offense. Its a shame because he's a good kid. These are the two true freshman that passed him on the depth chart De'anthony Thomas De'Anthony Thomas - Yahoo! Not many yards against us. 4000 yards in 4 years?? With his talent he should have had much more than that. Like I said he was a threat but for some reason he didn't get the ball as much as he should have.
If that's his career stats, that ain't much. See Kenny Hilliard and Mike Ford's stats for comparison. But yeah...he's out at UO for the same reason Akiem Hicks never played a down at LSU.
No need to compare. First, I'm not claiming he's a world beater. Secondly, Ford's numbers are exceptional and especially when you factor in he missed most of his Jr. year with a broken collar bone. THEN, not so much compared to Seastrunk when you realize Ford rushed for 1,334 yards and 18 touchdowns as a sophomore. Seastrunk rushed for more (1532 and 22 TD's) as a soph. Thirdly, Seastrunk's numbers were as a member of a weak HS team(s). 7-4; 5-6; 4-6 season records. Ford's, 10-3; 13-2; 10-2. Shew, looks like Ford played in SEVEN more games. That's another season compared to Lache. Back to the first, if the stats below don't tell you he's better than "not that good" then the fact that LSU, USC, and Auburn wanted him would mean some successful programs don't know a dam thing?? We all know stats alone don't paint the picture. Again, I was just saying he's not a chump either, like I felt we were being led to believe.
