Dude its silly. He was a football player that decided to go to war. He isn't a politician with a vote or power or anyone seriously important enough to warrant that. Not that he wasnt important as a person but come on....this is the worst part of this whole thread. How can YOU be sure he WAS killed by anything other than friendly fire? We aren't assassinating our patriotic symbols. Seriously give me one rational explanation as to how that came to be.....beyond just turning things around into another question.
I still think I was right about that one but you posted some good pics so I thought I would let you have one....
this is the key point. he refuses to accept the truth because it doesnt jibe with his want to believe a conspiracy. all the evidence in the world will not change his opinion.
i wonder if regular guys that get killed by friendly fire are killed for the same shady reason, or is it just famous guys. like ordinary guys cant get any press time, so they are not worth killing. dont join the special forces dhani jones!
Well, here is the main point. The gov't lied about everything in that case. From the beginning until the bitter end. They never came clean. As far as the motive for it I can only guess. If your curious try finding out yourself. My point was only that they lied about the details regarding his death.
I'm not sure what you're looking for with Pat Tillman's dad. Here's what I know about Pat Tillman's death. Pat Tillman was a victim of fratricide, he was killed by friendly fire. First reports, which any of us who have spent any appreciable time deployed and engaged in firefights knows, were wrong. Pat Tillman was a celebrity. Reports of his death were going to be sent quickly. The leadership, all the up to Rumsfeld, did not provide due dilligence to what actually happened and allowed the first reports be made public. It spiraled out of control and people were more concerned with CYA than the truth. Anyone who has spent time on this board in military matters knows I've never been a huge fan of Rumsfeld, especially how he and Pentagon dealt with Tillman's death. And I've said this before, I never had an ounce of respect for GEN Stanley McChrystal, either, because he had the opportunity, as the SOCOM commander, to make the proper inquiry, but didn't do it even though he expressed doubts on the validity of the story. There was no conspiracy theory in his death. The guys made a mistake in the heat of contact looking through NVGs. Pat Tillman's death, while tragic, was not the first Soldier to be killed as a result of fratricide, nor has he been the last. It happens. And the ones responsible for it live with that guilt daily. The title of this thread is not just disrespectful, it's enraging. These men, part of the same unit who killed UBL, were killed in action. Not "eighty-sixed" or taken out or whatever other hollywood or video game description you choose to use. You're always the first one to claim some sort of conspiracy when it comes to the military. Since you like to question so phucking much, why don't go pick up a weapon and find out for yourself. Not a god damn one of us do this because we have to; we do it because we've volunteered to do it. The least you can do is appreciate it and quit acting like you're phucking owed something. I have no issue with debate. What I take issue with is the incessant disrespect you continue to show while attempting to chase your stupid, nonsensical conspiracy theories. You did it to the victims of 9/11, you did it with the UBL killing, and now you've done it with this. No one is going to come looking for you. But Red is correct - I have said nothing to you on this board I wouldn't say to you in person.
