Dude, if we needed a td to win that game we would have scored it on the last drive, instead of playing ultra-conservative and running up the middle on third and two.

To hell we didn't. We held them well below their YPG and PPG averages. We shut down Trent Richardson, thier biggest weapon. We out kicked, out lasted, and outscored them.

But the reason it went the way it did is because we had vastly supperior special teams.

I'm kidding myself because while they may be on par in two phases of the game we one the third.

Damn y’all are sensitive  I’m one of the biggest Homers here and I don’t have a problem with saying that we caught some lucky breaks. I’m not saying we played bad…though our offense wasn’t exactly performing well…I’m just saying that Bama vs LSU is a VERY balanced matchup…to be honest, the two are almost identical.

Well, except that we obviously have a kicking game that is beter, fortunate enough to have two very capable QB’s with completely different styles, and 4 running backs that are all VERY talented.

And I LOVE Les...been saying I prefer him over Nick for years, just saying.

Oh ok…yeah…we just took it to OT to enhance the excitement and make for a better game.

No…we ran it down the gut because Les had confidence that we could stop Bama and thought that was better than risking a turn over…and he was right.

So the moral of the story is, attempt a bunch of long, unmakeable field goals and then claim you are better than the other team because they are lucky you missed those field goals. Why didn't Les think of that?

And I definitely have a reputation for calling it like I see it. Never been accused of wearing purple colored glasses. I think overall Bama may have played better in some areas, but LSU earned the win, it wasn't luck. LSU made the plays at crunch time while Bama wilted under the pressure. Better teams do what it takes, lesser teams can't quite get it done and blame luck.

Uhm...ok...maybe I'm missing something...maybe I was drunk...i thought they missed one from the 25, and two from around the 30 in regulation....those are hardly "long , unmakeable field goals"

Which one did we get a hand on...the last one right?

Okay...perhaps "lucky" was the wrong word. How do y'all feel about the phrase "capitalized off of the ball bending their way"

    Budly,

They were the HOME team! I guess you have not watched much football, because it does make a difference.

They missed from 44, 50, 49, and 52 in overtime. For Bama's kickers those are literally long shots.
