BCS mess shaping up to be one big headache for college football - College Football News | FOX Sports on MSN The Tigers, if they beat No. 3 Arkansas on Friday and No. 13 Georgia the following week in the SEC championship game, should win by acclimation. And besides, it’s reasonable to ask if Alabama is all that good anyway. In the two games since losing to LSU, the Crimson Tide took a 10-0 lead into the fourth quarter against 5-6 Mississippi State and its top-ranked defense allowed 302 yards rushing against Georgia Southern. I'm loving it ... Compare this to the ESPN (Pro Alabama agenda) BUTT-HURT BUCKEYE ROBERT SMITH saying BAMA is the best team now ... No link to these rancid mofoes ... I hope this rotten bunch of ESPN mofos die in a fricken plane crash ASAP
Besides the diatribe by Ramah, it is a very good article. Pro LSU, anti BCS. BCS mess shaping up to be one big headache for college football - College Football News | FOX Sports on MSN
Ok...let me drop some reality on you. WE GOT LUCKY AGAINST BAMA!!!!! We were a missed field goal away from them taking that game. Do I think we can beat them straight up....YES! But we got VERY lucky and I can easily see how someone who doesn’t drink purple cool aid and wears gold tinted glasses can see and say Bama is the best in the nation.
Wait, how did we get "very lucky"? We have better special teams than bama. Saban went for the FGs when he should have punted. They were out of FG range thanks to our D. We have more playmakers in our secondary. All of these things are part of the game. Did we get some breaks? Yes. Did bama also get breaks? Yes. Difference is, they didn't capitalize on them like we did. To say that we were "very lucky" is a gross misrepresentation.
Not to mention that the FGs were not short ones, but ones too long for the kickers to make. Going into OT, in retrospect, we had them beaten then. It became obvious as we dominated at that point. It just took longer to wear them down than other teams.
I disagree. No luck whatsoever. Saban attempted two field goals that were longer than any field goal his kicker has ever made, the third one was blocked. So by your logic, LSU could attempt two field goals that are outside the range of Alleman and miss them, lose the game, and everyone around the country could claim that the best team lost. Bama lost that game on poor coaching alone. If Saban punts instead of trying long, outide the range of his kicker, field goals and plays field position, there is a chance Bama wins the game.
