Did you miss Sabans Miami years? Not every coach is a Les Miles clone, some actually evolve.

After the Bama TD with most of the 4th quarter to go, Etling tried to respond and air it out downfield and Ryan Anderson hit him and Fitzpatrick had an interception. Lots of reasons O didn't air it out and that was a really big one. Bama's defense has scored more TDs than they have given up.

What makes anyone think Dabo would even consider leaving Clemson?

So wait, you are saying LSU gave up on the pass because of an interception? Orgeron isn't Les Miles.

O went conservative. It was as if he was doing his ole miss imitation all over again. Takes a split second longer than what Etling had to go deep or wait for crossing patterns to open. O wanted no turnovers, so he wisely chose the shorter road. He got roughed up enough as it was.

He was conservative all night man, what game were you watching? A play action throw it deep isn't opening the offense, it's a safe play. Throw it deep it gets picked it's a punt if it's a catch awesome, if it's not next play. I don't buy the fact that the interception changed anything from a play calling standpoint. I just don't understand why LSU didn't run any screens or misdirections, or go no huddle from shotgun with 3 receivers a tight end and a tailback to chip and fade out quick. Everything took way too much time and you don't have time against that front 7.

I just said it. He saw how well his defense was controlling the game, the tempo and decided to play to that strength. He was at home and he actually won the field position game in the first half so he let the same strategy roll in the second. Bama was more than happy to play that game. When Bama scored a TD, Orgeron immediately tried to open up and throw it downfield to answer. It got intercepted with about 12 a half minutes left and the next time Etling saw the ball again there was 2 and a half minutes left and down 2 scores. Too late, game over.

I don't think that was his thought though. He was throwing on first down a lot Saturday night. When you are down 10 and you have no time to score on a defense that hasn't given you shit all night, it's over, your priority at that point is getting out healthy. So to say he went conservative after the interception I just don't see it, the game plan stayed the same throughout, you just don't have any time to score 10 with 2 minutes left.

He went conservative the 3 quarters before the interception. It was the gameplan. Etling threw the interception trying to respond to Bama's TD. After the interception, Etling never saw the ball again until there was 2 and a half minutes left in the game. Orgeron played Bama the way Les Miles played Bama. You could also say that Orgeron played Bama the way Saban played LSU. Conservative offense, field position, kicking game and great defense.

I think that's pretty much what I said, so we agree.
