On Brando this morning, Guilbeau dismissed the Rebs, said they wouldn't be a problem,,, Brando and Tony Barnhart called him on it but he didn't change his tune,,, Barnhart labels this as a trap game for us - Ole Miss receivers are good and our db play hasn't exactly been stellar. Plus, the Ags and Gumps are coming up. Just add Guilbeau to the aforementioned douchebag list.
Its a trap game of sorts. This was by far the best the D and the OL played all year. Were they just up for a big game? Or have they turned the page and truly improved or do they play to the level of the opposition? Its a good gauge considering Ole Miss has played Bama and aTm. That said, winning is what counts.
Obviously, we can't answer that with any certainty yet. However, this is where playing Florida "close" (although the game was never in doubt) may be a great thing. Had we blown them out, the team may have gotten somewhat complacent. Freeze's "signature win" was playing us down to the wire last year.
I'm calling 41-17 LSU win on this one. Just going by our what our offense has averaged this year and the way defense played Florida. I missed point spread by 1 against Florida.
