I'm wondering out loud here, but what if both are coming to LSU?

If Crowton is on his way out, LSU actually needs 2 coaches: OC and WR. It very well could be that Miles and Crowton are working together to make any Crowton departure as smooth a transition as possible.

Is it possible that Tolbert can't officially accept a deal with LSU until the season is over? In that case, maybe the deal with Tolbert was simply premature in its announcement and has not "fallen through"?

Did I read somewhere that Tolbert was Zook's recruiting coordinator when Zook was with the Gators? It would be something if we replaced Larry Porter's recruiting prowess with 2 guys that were both recruiting direcdtors.

So far we have lost our OL coach, RB coach, and WR coach. So far we have unofficially hired Gonzales and Tolbert, who are both WR coaches. Frank Wilson is our running back coach. So, my question is: Do we keep Tolbert as well? What is the chance of Gonzales becoming the OC? I really don't see us replacing ALL of the assistants on the offensive side of the ball and not replacing the OC as well. Is that possible?

Is he really that great a hire as the WR coach? Fl's WR were very average to me, with maybe 1 a year that were good. Harvin was just a natural talent and Cooper is pretty good. Other than that, to me they do not have any great playmakers at WR. Just my opinion. But the recruiting part will probably be a plus. We shall see

It's the nature of fans to just never be happy, not even with two NC's in 3 years.

Some impressive stuff in his bio. He's been with Urban for a long time, I'm thinking he got a pretty good offer to leave...

Tolbert is not coming to LSU.

I think it is mutual because he wants more money and we want someone who can make an impact on the recruiting scene now instead of after New Year's.

Tolbert would have to go through orientation before he was allowed to recruit as well which means he wouldn't have much affect in this year's class and Gonzales should be able to start recruiting pretty soon.
