Miles said at his weekly lunch that we can expect to see a lot of Scott at FB, Williams at TB. The only other RB he mentioned was Holliday, I think. So Ridley is clearly not healthy enough to take a pounding and Ford just isn't ready at all.

This is definitely Williams' chance to shine consistently. And I hope he does, because if we need Scott at TB, Williams can't play FB and we don't seem to have anyone who has made Miles happy in games other than Scott.

It's too bad we couldn't lure Trent Richardson last year. He's blowin' up over in Tuscaloser.

I think we will be fine, Scott will find his form very soon and I hope Williams continues his success.

As for Holiday they should run the option and reverse plays with him and Shep.

    Can't get 'em all, Bandit.

And honestly, if he would have come here he wouldn't have really been given a chance. Too much talent in front of him.

I think this is Scott's game to find his grove. The O-Line should really take care of business against USL and allow him to rediscover his confidence.

    Re: Runningbacks

I definitely agree we can't get them all. I'm just whining a little. :) I knew he was gonna be the best back in his class, and I think he's proving that to be correct right now.

Anyway - if Miles uses Scott as a FB for most of the Ragin' Cajun game, I don't think he'll have the chance to return to form, per se. Regardless, I'm pulling for Williams to have a lights out season.

    Re: Runningbacks

Miles also said yesterday that Charles Scott came up to him during the game and told him, "Coach, do you need me more at full back, i will do whatever you need coach." I liked Charles Scott alot before, but after i heard that, that is not something you see every day, a senior with pro potential, wanting to play a position to help the team rather than help himself. Very selfless, and very admirable.

Gotta give Scott major props for offering to be the fullback like that. Its a thankless job for the most part and he is putting aside personal ambitions for the team. Thats the kind of selfless act that show a team who the true leaders are and result in helping a team gel.

    wow. just wow.

that is the kind of attitude every fan (and coach) wants to see. and it is one that will serve him well in life, not just football.

Well, . . . I don't think Scott is a very good fullback. He's a tailback. I'd like to see Dugas get some more reps and become a true power blocker.
