 Ya think so captain obvious?? Mr. Collins currently resides in a correctional institute in Homestead, FL...so yeah, I think he went down what some would consider the wrong path.
Some might consider that the normal path, especially considering what that Our Lady blogger wrote about the literacy skills and life goals of LSU's team.
Either ESPN.com or CNNSI.com had JaMarcus on the Hesiman watch before the loss to UF @ The Swamp in 06.
...Any truth to the rumor about Charles Scott saying that he will wear high heels this Saturday against Mississippi St. and still rush for 200+ to try and impress the Heisman voters?
jr is a qb. and he wasnt on the heisman watch for more than a week. mel kiper didnt even know who he was by the end of the year. the world was clueless in regards to JR even moreso amongst some of the local idiots who never quite saw he was the best in college his last year. how can you expect the national media to see it? brady quinn was the shiznit til he was exposed for what we knew all along.
He's at #5 on this guy's list @ Rivals FWIW... http://collegefootball.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=853701
I was at the game. Cecil broke through the line on one run, stopped and handed out jocks to two Auburn defensive backs and continued running on. This isn't the play but its a reminder of how wasted a talent he was:
I have been thinking the exact same thing - Scott has reminded me much of the Diesel. He's also the reincarnation of J. Hester, except, IMO, even better.
I think the best thing about Scott is that he just does his thing, runs the ball, pounds whoever and he doesnt get up gloating or talking shyt to anyone. Thats a great quality.
Man, I can't remember anyone from LSU (regardless of position) given serious Heisman consideration. Would love to see Scott play well enough this year to at least get an invite to New York. EDIT: and by "remember", I mean during the time that I've been following closely. That would be since about 1997 when I went to LSU
