He's at #7. The other two RBs on the list are Mich State's Ringer (#6) and GA's Moreno (#5). Tebow is at #10. The author, Gene Menez has been doing the Heisman Watch for SI.com for several years now http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/writers/gene_menez/09/22/heisman.watch/index.html
Now, that's what I'm talking about! If he had two or three more TD's, he'd be the top RB on that list. We'll see what the season holds. He won't face much tougher of a defense this year. Alabama and Florida have good rushing defensive numbers, but 32 will put them to the test!
Who was the last LSU RB to be on a legitimate Heisman watch ? I'm sure Kevin Faulk was. I know Dalton Hilliard was.
Hype wise JV was going into his sophomore season before he packed on fifty and got benched. In season I can't remember.
Scott has been awarded Rival's National Player of the Week. Crowton is National Coordinator of the Week. Much deserved for both!
Cecil Collins was our last RB on the Heisman watch (who Scott reminds me of...minus the breaking into of houses and watching women while they sleep). He ran all over Auburn for like 230+ at home (one of the most awesome and loudest games ever in Tiger Stadium). But we lost, he broke his leg against Vandy and went down what some might consider to be the wrong path.
