That’s what I was about to say too. Reminds me of CLM rationalizations all over again. Run heavy OC w/ head in the sand. And what about his tenures suggest he’d want to stay in college football much less at LSU? If he ends up being successful, that’s a ticket back to the pros, and if not, well, that’s worse.
Just heard another rumor that Linehan has a relationship with Doug Nussmier, who’s son is a top QB recruit next year.
Ensminger is still running the offense. And he still has last year’s playbook. I’m fine with the hire.
So do all the opposing DCs. What happens when its time to adjust? Minger was always really good at that by himself....
Ensminger adjusted all of last year. And no, DCs don’t have our play book. They have film. Everyone’s had film of the RPO for the past 5 years and still no one can stop it. It’s not that simple.
The entire DFW cheered last year when Linehan was let go. His offense got 1 playoff win in 4 years with the Cowboys. There is no way I see this as a step forward. LSU is going backward. I don't know what he brings. Only time will prove it wrong. Nothing the" just trust Coach O" people say can convince me this is a good thing. What does he bring that E doesn't already have?
Ok... I had a couple moments... the positive thing I have come up with is he did not coach last year, this is another one no one wanted. Linehan totally fits in.
Linehan got HC jobs by being a good coordinator/position coach. Don’t hold the Cowboys tenure against him. It’s a shit organization living off 25 years ago. Even with the Lions disaster, he had a really good reputation until Jerruh...
