That's why I also suggested the term 'hybrid'. I know we used RPO during the season, but starting with the SECCG, we went more 4-5 wide; especially in the NC game. Regardless of what we run, we were successful and impossible to stop and that's really all that counts.
good article on Scott Linehan's career progression. https://www.theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/sports/lsu/article_1c935f3e-4ddd-11ea-a7c1-eb7976625079.html
I hear you. The media became interested in him when the Tigers had extraordinary success on offense. But his (admittedly short) background in advanced offenses and how he was hired made the story that much more appealing. Scott's story will have to be of an experienced coach adapting which is a similar story to.....
This article makes me feel better about his knowledge and the hire. Still taking a wait and see approach, but this sheds some light on what he does know vs what everyone says he doesnt
What he apparently doesn't realize is the mods have ways of knowing when someone is using an alt. Let me guess though, Nicky uses a VPN, Did you even enjoy it for one second? Have you gone back and watch game highlights ? Other than hoisting the trophy (if that was even it), what was your favorite moment of the season? Bullshit. That's exactly why you did it. Otherwise, why even mention it unless it was pathetic attempt to try and give yourself credibility because your posts can't do that on their own. How can you go from not even knowing who he is to 'always enjoyed his rants'? You're choice of words is very telling. 'They' didn't 'let' Aranda leave. It was not a choice for LSU. The choice was Aranda's alone and he decided to leave to become 'the man' at another program. What should have they done to try to keep him? He was already the highest paid assistant in the nation. As for duplicating what Brady did? There's no way. Of course there's going to be a drop off. Anyone expecting this year's offensive output to match or exceed last years has unrealistic expectations. Why do you care? As long as he produces results like last season, it doesn't matter. Hire the best coaches and assistants, then get out of the way and let them do their jobs. Isn't that what people were saying Miles should do? I know right? How can you be part of the greatest season in the history of college football and be so bitter? Even the guy who launders the jock straps would be happy at his contribution. I would love to see this, but it will never happen. Or if it did, it would be filled with back handed compliments. Nailed it! None of that matters now. If that was him coaching, he obviously realized the error of his ways and turned it over to more qualified people. Nothing wrong with that. Had Miles done the say thing, he'd still be here.
