I found myself watching the replays on the HD screen, even though I was closer to the smaller one. However, when I needed to look quickly at the down and distance, I had to look at the other side because the big board does not really "define" the area for the down and distance, so I didn't know where to look when I was rushing to look before the ball was snapped.
it looked way better at the spring game. i sat at midfield and found myself look at the south scoreboard more than the north. they totally ruined that nice scoreboard... actually i'm gonna photoshop that to show what i think it should be.
I would rather they do like Auburn. At every break in the game, they play some worthless commercial or advertisement. But during the game, they use almost the whole screen for the GAME.
The CFA that provides chicken to the games is owned by a personal friend, who lives in Baton Rouge and does A LOT for the community, especially donating food to inner city events. It may be a chain but he owns the franchise and is one of the best people I know. On the other hand, Cane's just moved their corporate headquarters to Plano, TX. You were saying?
All this griping- any animation, etc. after "Nice Catch!" or something took up all three screens. Ads are going to happen. I don't know if anyone remembers because we apparently have the nearsightedness of a dog these days, but the old scoreboards that last served us in 1999 had little lightboards... and big old ads for BankOne and UPS and McDonalds.
It is possible for the nicest people in the world to make terrible food. The saying "you can taste the love in every bite" is just a metaphor. You really can't taste love as it is an emotion & not an ingredient. Just sayin'
It's good. Add the scores and the ads and send it to herb vincent. Tell them what you think. It might help. Fans have to be #1 over corporate sponsors.
maybe the ads are bigger than the stats and more important than time outs remaining because the tix prices will start to go down? nah, probably not.
