    Arkansas loses 18 scholarship seniors.
    Bama loses 14 scholarship seniors.
    Auburn loses 28 scholarship seniors.

LSU loses 9 scholarship seniors. (6 on the two-deep (one a punter))

Funny that with all of those seniors, Auburn would suck without Mr. Pay-4-Play.

Good information. I'm also worried about the JRs we will lose - Pat, think about being a SR. Think Hard Please!!!

Auburn 28 - can't wait to play them next year. Bama feels the same way I bet.

It would be great if he stayed, but don't count on it. He will likely be a high 1st round draft pick. Hard to turn that kind of money down.

sorry guys Peterson is gone, if he came back I would question his sanity.
He will be a top 5 pick next year and will make 40 million.

I am sure he loves LSU, but this isnt Auburn.

Take the NFL money and thanks for the memories...

Question is and it is really all that matters for Auburn and Arkansas

Is Mallet Leaving and is Cam Newton ready for a bigger pay check than he is getting now.

Do you really think Cam would take a cut in pay just to play in the NFL?:rofl:

I know Pat's gone, and if he was my son I'd tell him to go. But I can dream.

But he should play the bowl game and then he can be set for life before he touches a football again. Really not a smart play if he doesn't do it.

Check out Phil Steele's Experience Chart to give you an idea of how young we are.

LSU is 102 in one of his formulas and dead last in his standard formula.

Combined New and Improved Experience Chart

Here are the rankings for the teams with undefeated and one loss records so far.

    Auburn 26
    TCU 18
    Oregon 20
    Michigan State 70
    Ohio State 21
    Stanford 49
    Wisconsin 13
    Boise State 1
    Nevada 59

Number of seniors lost is a bit misleading. It's not as important as how many starters will be lost.

Not sure how many seniors Auburn will lose, but the most important losses will be their entire O-line (seniors), Nick Fairly (Junior) and probably Cam (Junior).

Just about the entire bama defense will be back. And that is key. They will lose their starting QB, but the backup is supposed to be better. Jooooooooolio is gone, not sure about his class. Ingram probably is too. He's a Junior.

Mallett is gone for sure and I think he is just a Junior as well.

True, but even those seniors who do not start play leadership roles on the team and on special teams...

    Here's who/what we're losing:

    DT: Nevis and Levingston
    MLB: K Sheppard
    DB: P Peterson, Jai Eugene

    WR: T Tolliver
    OT: J Barksdale
RB: R Murphey (may get 6th year)

    K: Jasper
    P: Helton
    ST: D Graff

Everyone else on the 2 deep will return next year.

I'm glad Bama's defense will be back. We abused them.

Their backup QB looked poor in his few snaps against AU (I know...)

As the year wore on, I recognized more and more how many really young guys we were playing this season. I also started noticing how many seniors the "top" teams were fielding.

We should be set for a good preseason ranking going into 2011. And spare me the "it doesn't matter where you're ranked at the beginning of the season" discussion. As long as the MNC is a popularity contest, it does matter.
