I hear Saban Might be interested in that one. Either or they are both big time jobs.

How the mighty have fallen!!! Their front runner is Ball State's Head coach now. A bigger slap in the face will be if the guy from Iowa says no to them.

There is a problem up at Michigan. Apparently Lloyd Carr really wants one of his assistants to succeed him, and he also wants to be the AD after the current guy (who is a dollar-a-year man who is doing all of this for his love of the school) leaves. One of the rumored requirements of a coach is that he retain the current assistants at least one year. This is not a prescription for success and perhaps that's why people are looking at the job and thinking they will not be able to do it well. If Carr is director of football operations or AD, he will be the real coach. And Carr hates Les Miles.

Unfortunately, there is a huge backlash forming against Carr. Dan Dierdorf and others who played with LM are trying to get involved in the whole coach hire process and they're targeting our coach. They see the buyout clause as being weak and cheap. They feel that Les made comments in a recent interview with Dan Patrick that sounded like he still wanted to come to Michigan.

So people up there are banking on the idea that on January 8 Dan Dierdorf et al., having hopefully neutralized Lloyd Carr, will come to LM with a strong offer which addresses all the concerns he might have with the situation, and get him to leave us. I don't think LM would do that, but they are planning to try.

Yeah, that's why I think they aren't being too agressive in finding a new coach...They still think that they can get Miles and that recruiting won't be affected since they're Michigan...They're being very arrogant with all of this, it seems familiar.

I'd bet a lot of this has to do with frustrated Mich fans. If they want a respectable, good football team they better nut up with some cash. Either that or give the present AD a swift kick in the azzzzzzz. Or a combination thereof.

I am sorry but the big 11 is about to have a big shake up in the near future. No more Ohio State and the Big Blue ruling the conference!!! It will be the Fighting Zooks and Ohio State battling it out while Meechegan will be relegated to the bottom feeders of the Big 11!!! Nobody wants that job and that can be seen by Les:milesmic: turning down his dream job!! Why would anybody want a job that was turned down by a man who professes would be the place he would die at!!! Sorry Meechegan you have been sent out to pasture!!!
