I think they are the next Arkansas.:hihi: Seriously, they are going have to get an unproven coach now. Should be interesting to see who it is.
Obviously most of us on this board are not very close to the situation in AA. But from all the news and blogs I've read up north there are a few things that seem clear. 1) They only want to pay average compensation for a top tier coach relying on the fact that "This is Michigan". 2) Their AD Bill Martin is not aggressively pursuing their new coaching hire. 3) Lloyd Carr is being Lloyd Carr, whatever that means. I only know it's not good for Michigan what ever he's doing. A good and decent man. But so was Jimmy Carter when he was President. 4) Bill Martin enjoys sailing in Florida 5) Michigan fans are up in arms with how all this is going.
I can't believe the number of guys who've turned R-Kansas down already.... and the way Michigan's AD is handling his hiring process.... wow!!! Both programs appear to be on their way to "taking what they can get" .... Someone let R-Kansas know that for $1.5 million/ 5 yrs.... I'm available. Michigan, no thanks. It is way too cold up there!!! LOL!!! :crystal: :geaux: :crystal: :geaux: :crystal:
IMO Schiano is a fool for turning this job down. What is he gonna accomplish at Rutgers? Inspite what some may think the Mi****gun job is one of the best in the nation. Believe me I hate them just as much as anyone but this don't make sense to me.
Martin is handling this situation just like he did their basketball hire recently, quietly. But, I have absolutely no idea who GS is thinking or planning. Heck, he may be comfortable much like Grobe.
