I am assuming you are talking to me here. The road requirement is irrelevant. The infrastructure system you all keep clamoring about only allows for easier access and a cheaper product. It is not needed from the government, it is simply the system we have. Do not be so naive to think that with out roads and bridges built by tax dollars, these business would not in turn, build access to such goods. They would forfeit the cost onto you, the consumer. We could have had a system of private roads and tollways. Though cost would go up. The reason infrastructure is built is to promote job creation growth. Not the other way around. They didn't build the road just for Jimmy's Chicken. The road was built before Jimmy's chicken shack stood there.
No I said my opinion of Obama's view on the act of starting a business. It is not tied to infrastructure. You assume business cannot be had without government help.
Im not assuming anything and dont put words in my mouth, im talking about the context of his quote on infrastructure.
lol so you have no answer for that is what you meant to say. this thread was about the LIBOR scandal, didnt stop you from talking about the quote. And yes this is tied to Clinton cause those are the tax rates he is proposing on 250k and over.
Sure you are. You think business building is done by way of help through government etc... His context was clear. He thinks that if YOU start a business, you didn't do it on your own. That is dishonest.
It has been discussed at length and all you did was spew shit. You know nothing of the balanced budget Clinton had with the Republican house and senate. There was a period of tax hikes and tax cuts. The tax hikes/cuts lead to the surplus you spewed about. There is also other pertinent data which you are omitting and not really making any points about what we are discussing.
and we wouldnt be able to compete with countries who provide that infrastructure through tax dollars, because the start up cost of doing business would be astronomically at a disadvantages to other countries. your argument is circular.
