You're right about that. Nothing personal, I'm glad you post here, but you know every fan has teams they dislike.

I wish LSU would come to the west coast to play more. I know USC, UCLA, Cal and Stanford would all be Great games. And wouldn't be afraid to play at each others stadiums.

These neutral site games don't do it for me.

These are the games people love to look forward too. I don't get anything from Central Michigan. Syracuse was a nice change and going to a part of the country that we don't go to often.

The one time LSU has come to the west coast in forever was Washington a few years ago and it happened to be the weekend of my parents 50th anniversary party so I was back in Shreveport.

With O on coaching and the cal coach from La tech seems we have some ties to get something done.

I did not make the 'dog crap' reference to disparage USC. It just amazes me that a USC or a Texas - programs that have such momentous resources and power - can screw the pooch so badly-( that's an idiom). I mean Arkansas State by throwing a dart at a board can avoid hiring a fucking drunk. Maybe I'm old school, but spare me the alcohol represents a problem 'societal in nature.' That's crap (an idiom). By the time we're 20 we know if we can handle booze. Dependency on alcohol is a weakness in character. Weak characters shouldn't even be considered to coach at U S fucking C. FightOn.

One of the strongest characters I know is an alcoholic. He simply cannot get alcohol out of his life..... yet. Guy has financial assets way beyond most of us (inherited wealth), had an obstetric career, a wife, kids, beautiful house, cars, etc, etc. I hate to tell you, amigo, but alcoholism is not simply a character flaw. It's genetic predisposition that meets opportunity. Kind of like schizophrenia, or OCD, or depression. None of these are simply character flaws. They are genetic predispositions that meet opportunity. It's in your DNA. If you believe otherwise, then you are a simpleton. Just because you feel you can handle your alcohol, doesn't mean someone else that has a problem with it has a character flaw. They have a complicated problem with no easy fix. It will take years for Sark to get past this. If he does, and develops honesty and sobriety, then he may come back w/a vengeance, but that remains to be seen.

I don't mean to be a dick (an idiom) but I disagree wholeheartedly. Character weakness isn't something that comes and goes. A person either has good character or they don't. If someone conquers their alcohol dependence, have they suddenly become a high character person? Coach O has met and defeated that alcohol demon, I think his character has been stellar his entire life, not just during the sober moments.

And not to beat a dead horse (another idiom), but I said the inability of friends, family, acquaintances, to recognize alcoholism as opposed to a heavy social drinker/functional alcoholic is societal in nature. If Sarkisian was a dysfunctional bottle baby, why didn't Washington do something about it? Why didn't they put him on probation? Where were all the media investigators with their plethora of stories about Sarkisian passed out on street corners and such?

The hiring was a major fail. Haden is the reason. He came to the job to clean up after sanctions. As a wealth management professional and attorney, he had zero background in hiring at that level. USC used lots of sourcing and background check resources and yet Pat ended up relying on his "gut". Stupid, stupid, stupid. He's also got no balls when it comes to the difficult part of the job....firing. He should have dumped Kiffin after the Sun Bowl fiasco and he should have placed Sark on leave after Salute in August. He's soft. An AD has to have a pair and Pat's still looking for his. (My last idiom for awhile).

People will do bad character things when they are drunk that they wouldn't do while sober. Some will. Other people don't go over the line even when they are drunk. Could be somebody who goes over the line when drunk is deep down a bad character person and the booze is an excuse to act in bad character.

Haden showed he had no balls when Coach O had to find out in the media that Sark had been hired and that he wouldn't even be given the courtesy of an interview.
